Question: What is the difference between the "Modified" nursers & "Real Feel" Nursers?

Answer:  Modified nursers have a 2 part nipple. The first part being a silicone underlay nipple with a premade hole. The second part is a bulbous style nipple that overlays the silicone nipple and provides a more natural feel for the puppy. The modified nursers provide a nice premade hole for customers who do not want to make their own nipple holes. The "Real Feel" nipple is more lifelike but does not come with a premade hole requiring customers to make their own hole with a sterilized needle, razor blade, or snips.

Question:What size of nurser(s) do your recommend for my breed type?

Answer:We recommend feeding by weight. This is also the way we recommend choosing a nurser size. The best way to choose your nursers size is to go with the average birth weight of your babies. Since they should be fed according to weight then it only makes sense to choose a nursers size that goes along with their weight. Our recommended feeding is 1cc/ml per ounce of body weight. So if your baby weighs 5 ounces then you would want to feed 5cc/ml of formula every 2-3 hours. For this baby we would recommend a 5cc/ml nurser. We break down the classifications of nursers to make it easier for you to choose for your individual breed type. Our sample packs allow you to continue feeding your babies as they grow through multiple stages before weaning.

Question: I am not sure if I should choose Medium Breed Nursers or Large Breed Nursers how do I know?

Answer: If your baby can latch onto and suckle from a regular baby bottle nipple then you should choose Large Breed Nursers if not go with Medium Breed Nursers (they have a smaller nipple). Our Large Breed nursers use hospital grade neonatal nipples that are perfect for newborn puppies. As always we recommend starting out with the slowest flow and working your way up as the baby develops the suckle/swallow reflex.

Question: My baby is too weak to nurse from the mom what should I choose?

Answer: Baby animals that are too weak to nurse from the mom are best suited for our Lifeline "LifeSaver" Sponge Kits. These kits allow even the weakest of babies to suckle formula from the high grade sponge material and the 5cc/ml syringe provided allows you to know precisely how much your critical baby is ingesting.

Question: What size incubator should I choose &/or how many puppies do they hold?

Answer: Our incubators are recommend for the following number of babies up until they are approximately 10-12 days old. This is about the time most babies begin to open their eyes and are regulating their own body temperature. This means they are ready to come out of the incubator.

Please Note: Size and weight of your babies may vary drastically and these are used as a basic rule of thumb for average size breeds

Clear View Incubators: Small (3-4 babies), Medium (5-6 babies), Large (7-8 babies), Extra Large (8-9 babies)

Hinged Door Incubators: Small (3-4 babies), Medium (5-6 babies), Large (7-8 babies)

Question: What is the difference between the heating pad incubators and the halogen lamp incubators & what should I choose?

Answer:Part 1: Our heating pad incubators provide more of a natural heat from the floor. This heat is designed to be similar to that of the mother roughly 100-102 degrees Fahrenheit at the floor. This means that the units are not designed to maintain an air temperature as warm as the halogen lamp incubators. If you are looking for an incubator to provide similar heat that the mother would provide we recommend choosing one of these models. We feel the shallower units such as the small, medium, and large "Clear View" units due to their minimal height will heat and maintain a more consistent air temperature than the taller models such as the "Hinged Door" Heating Pad incubators. With that being said we recommend the heating pad units for non-critical care litters that will not require as precise of an air temperature and will thrive with temperature similar to what the mother would provide.

Answer: Part 2: The halogen lamp incubators provide a much warmer surrounding heat that is perfect for critical care litters, sick puppies, or generally hard to raise sensitive breeds. This means they hold a much more precise air temperature which is critical for ill puppies or other animals that need a much more consistent heat or are very sensitive to changes in temperature.

Our recommendation: If your breed generally raises and care for their own puppies/babies they would more than likely thrive with one of our heating pad units. If your breed generally does not raise their own puppies/babies well or are a very hard to raise breed our recommendation would be to choose one of the shallower heating pad units (small, medium, or large "Clear View") or one of the halogen lamp units as they hold a more precise air temperature.

Humidity:With either unit we always recommend being able to replace some humidity as the units will lose humidity during the heating process and could potentially cause dehydration. This can easily be done by putting a room humidifier in the room where the incubator is kept and maintaining a good humidity level of 50-60%. Humidity can also be obtained by purchasing the humidity cup holder option on our "Hinged Door" incubators and using a small cup 1/2 - 3/4 full of nursery (distilled) water. Another option is to use a bubble humidifier that is ran in-line with an oxygen concentrator or air pump. Finally one of our newest products is too choose the automatic add-on humidity control & pump option for your incubator. This allows you to precisely dial in the humidity you desire. Either way providing adequate humidity for your babies is the best way to ensure they are happy & healthy.

Question: How long will it take to get my order?

Answer: Most of our products ship within 48-72 business hours (2-3 business days) with the exception of incubators and other custom made products. Due to the volume of orders we receive for our incubators we often run a delay in processing time. This is usually posted clearly on our website so that you can easily see the processing time we are currently experiencing (does not include shipping time) for these items. If you need a unit quicker than the time we currently have posted we ask that you call us at: 765-855-3100 leave a message if no answer so we can return your call to make sure we can get your items to you when you need them. Shipping times are chosen by you the customer and are in addition to any of our processing times. We cannot be held responsible for items in regards to shipping times once they leave our facility. We currently ship all orders through USPS (United States Postal Service) as they provide the fastest times and affordable prices for our customers. We do insure all packages over $100 so they are covered against any damages that may occur during shipping. If your product is damaged during shipping please contact us via email at: [email protected] with pictures of the damage to the product(s) and the shipping box/package. This is necessary for us to file a claim and reissue you a replacement item(s). Please make sure to email and call us about damages so we can get your replacement items shipped back out to you. Leaving a message directly on our business page (via Facebook) or a bad review is unprofessional and we please ask that you give us a chance to resolve the issue in a timely manner. If you have not heard back from us within 48 hours via email try calling and leaving a phone message so someone can get back with you.

Question: What is your return policy?

Answer: We only accept returns on unused items (buyer pays return shipping charges & a 20% restocking fee) or products that were damaged by the shipping service (please contact us first for directions on returning damaged items). We cannot accept used items for return as we are unable to resell those items. Please make sure to test out any electronic components (such as incubators, digital temperature controllers, etc.) before use. This way if there is an issue with your product we can replace it before you use it. This is why we ask that you plug the units in for at least one hour prior to use so that the units can regulate temperature and you can ensure everything is working properly.

Cancelled orders after 24 hours post purchase are also subject to a 20% restocking fee. No exceptions!

Question: How do I fill or clean my nursers?

Answer: Please make sure not to disassemble the nursers. The nursers are very hard to reassemble which is why we assemble all nursers in house. Due to their complexity it is often times impossible to reassemble them once disassembled. You should fill the nursers the same way you would a syringe through the end (nipple) of the nurser. To clean the nursers we recommend removing the piston and flushing out with warm soapy water or using the microwavable steam sterilizer bags we have available in our online store.
